Vacation Supplement: Ouch

Tesco, the Walmart of Thailand, sells various goods at rock-bottom prices. The only problem with enjoying their value is that they may not be made for mountain descents...
My toes took a beating on the way down Mt. Kinabalu, due partly to the fact that they were housed in mediocre footwear. This is what they look like NOW, three weeks later. Just picture the initial ugliness...the best part was either when the masseuse yanked on my toe after explicit instructions to "AVOID THE BLACK TOE" or when one of them spurted blood at Alisa.
